String Light Pendant
I know we've all seen these everywhere, but I still love them. Can't take credit for the how-to's as I found instructions on Pickles.no, a very cool site from Norway. I had to give this DIY a go. Here's my version. (And yes, I made two of them!)
What you'll need:
- string / yarn
- large round balloon (make sure it's round, and isn't oblong if you want that perfect shape)
- light to attach the pendant to
- white glue / wall paper paste
- vaseline
- plastic to protect surfaces, gloves
- white glue / wall paper paste
- white glue / wall paper paste
Start of by marking off 6" circle on your balloon. This is for you to stick your hand in to change the bulb. I used some thick craft wire I had around the house to make that circle and used it as part of the "frame" of the pendant. Depending on what type of light/socket it you'll be attaching the pendant to, you'll have to make off the opening to attach to the light as well.
